VMS Academic Support
VMS offers a variety of opportunities for you to support your student during their middle school years. We appreciate you staying involved!
Student Planners
Planners are provided to every student. Teachers provide information to be written in the planner each day. We encourage students to use their planner and check it every night to ensure they have completed all of the assigned homework. Ask to see your child’s planner. VMS Students will have Math and English homework Monday-Thursday.Grades
VMS operates on a semester grading system. Students receive a report card that becomes part of their permanent record in December and June. Prior to the semester report cards, you will receive 2 progress reports to inform you of your child’s progress. When you receive these progress reports, please contact teachers directly with any concerns you may have or to schedule a time to meet and discuss strategies.
