Assistant Principal 's Message

AP Elizabeth Brockett

I feel privileged to serve the Lompoc Community once again this year. I look forward to a new year and continuing to build solid relationships with students and families at Vandenberg Middle School. Originally from Ventura County, I have a diverse background that has significantly influenced my educational philosophy. Prior to my career in education, I spent a decade at Amgen in the Clinical Trials department. My academic journey includes twenty years of teaching 8th-grade English in Camarillo and Oxnard, coaching Cross-Country for a decade, and serving on the boards of the Parent Teacher Association and Boy Scouts of America. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from California Lutheran University, a Secondary Teaching Credential from California State University of Northridge, and a Master’s Degree  in Education and Administration from Grand Canyon University. Outside of work, I am an athlete who competes on an Outrigger Canoeing team. I am also a dedicated parent who enjoys spending quality time with my grown children. My personal interests include paddling, gardening, reading, and hiking.

We have high academic and behavioral expectations for all our students. Our school-wide expectations are to be respectful, responsible, and safe. I look forward to partnering with parents and students to help them achieve their learning potential.
