Counseling Services

Counselors provide students with resources/strategies for academic, personal/social, and career needs. We support students through classroom lessons, small group sessions and individual meetings upon their request or guardian/teacher referral. We also have community resources for referral when needed. Adriana Palacios: Hello everyone, my name is Adriana Palacios and I’m thrilled to be part of the VMS counseling team. I look forward to working with everyone and supporting students in meeting all their personal, social, and academic goals as well as working with teachers, parents, and administrators. I believe in building meaningful relationships with students and encourage all to strive for their personal best to achieve their goals. I received my bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Chapman University and my master’s degree in School Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services Credential from Brandman University. In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and my two children. I’m excited to start this journey and look forward to working with you and your child. Hi everybody, my name is Jaime Luna, counselor here at VMS. I am SO excited to work collaboratively with you all to help you in reaching your goals and meeting your social-emotional, academic, and other needs. I obtained my Associates Degree from Ventura College where I was a part of the Track and Cross Country team, Bachelor’s Degree from Cal State Northridge where I was a part of the Debate Team, and Master’s Degree in Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services Credential from Cal Lutheran University. I look forward to working with and supporting VMS students, families, and community members. Diane McIntyre:


Hello everyone, I look forward to working with you during your time at VMS. I have been a counselor in the district since 2001 and have worked at the middle school and high school level. I am happy to be a member of the VMS Team! I am a graduate of Fresno State University and I earned my Master’s in School Counseling and obtained a Pupil Personnel Services Credential through the University of La Verne. My husband is a teacher at Cabrillo High School and we have had two daughters go through LUSD K-12. I enjoy living in Lompoc and being an active member in the community. I look forward to working with you and value the team approach to best serve and support students.
